Virudhh

I was listening to music of Virudhh. I dont know how is the movie going to come out, but I am sure the Music is really great and offbeat too. The songs particularly by Parveen Abida are really great. Added to this are Gulzar's lyrics. These songs are not meant for 'any-time' songs, I mean these are some thinking songs. Being a fan of AB, I expect this movie to come out in flying colours. Mann Lago Yaar by PA is my fave., although 'bhala hua', 'saahib Mera..' are good. Jagjit Singh's 'Hey Jag Tratha' is a great rendition of a prayer gets best of the meastro. Shanker Mahadevan's 'Shree Ganeshyay..' is and proves his versatility beyond point, but in his singing you can make it that he is a South Indian (He actually sung a similar song for MM Keeravani's Sri Manjunatha- telugu movie). Roop Kumar Rathod's 'Faqeerana Aaye' is not a worthwhile. the rest just make up the tracks of the Movie.

[EDIT] All these songs of PA I am talking here are from the album 'Gulzar presents Kabir by Abida'. I would love have this full album, if someone has it I would love to have them on my Ipod®. :-)

[REJOINDER] Watched the movie. Definitely a good work by Mahesh Majrekar. AB and Sharmila were good. It is a not a popular movie, but director told what he wanted to say. It was touching how a family suffers after the loss of their only son in a mob and how the parents, fight against all the odds to get justice. It was watchable. I downloaded it from mIRC.
