Faves...

At this time I was mostly listening and collecting songs of Kishore Kumar(as most of AB songs were sung by KK then). I was constantly listening to radio and recording any good songs being played on radio. By this time, it was a religion to turn on the radio immediately after coming from college at 5 and turning on the Warangal Radio at night for some more good songs at 8 in the night. Even for my roomate Pramod got used to all these things. Kumar Sanu/ Kishore Kumar / Lata / Asha were my faves then . People used to say I used to imitate Kumar Sanu :-)
Even Shanker Mahadevan impressed me around this time with his album Breathless, it was great and I also remember his jingle for 5-star choclate. Dinaker Rajesh once brought Lucky Ali's first album Sunoh, the songs were really really offbeat but I started like his voice. I felt there was depth in his voice. Some people say he only sings tragic/sad songs, but I dont agree with that, and I believe that he has less variation when compared to others but he has great voice. A funny incident about this album is that I bought the album's first edition/release at Rs. 30 and then somehow I lost the album after 1 1/2 years or so but I never wanted to miss the songs and so I again went to buy the album but the price was Rs. 65/-. Hmm... now it is expensive (I remember it was carried by BMG crescendo).
I finished my BTech., in 1999 and many of my friends even today think that My Stereo and My music a great part of their good memories in Bheemaram. Chinna Reddy is one among them. People have also mostly associated song Kabhi Kabhie to me. The first thing that they recall when they listen to this song is me.
